Watts places second at OMA - Round 6:

KTM Offroad racer Shane Watts scored a strong second place finish at round 6 of the OMA Offrroad Nationals held in Memphis, Missouri over the weekend.

Following 6 inchs of rain in the days leading up to the race, conditions were remarkedly better than expected, although the trails were littered with many deep ruts and several bottomless mudbog sections.

"I had an average start and got totally roosted for the whole first lap as I worked my way into second. It was a definite hassle having to deal with the guys in front of me. By the time I had moved into second the leader had gained a two minute advantage that I was never fully able to regain."
"I was real happy with the way I rode out there considering some of the injury issues I've been dealing with lately. I was able to attack the mud and deep ruts without feeling too timid, and ride a lot closer to my skill level than what I have been able to in recent times. That was a good feeling!"
