Team KTM Offroad ace Shane Watts scored a strong seventh place finish at round 7 of the World Offroad Championship series race at the Honey Lake Motocross venue in Nevada, over the weekend.
\"I had an awesome jump off the start on my 200EXC but just got outpowered on the long uphill start against all of the 450\'s. I was pretty much last going into turn one. From there I just rode strong and consisent for the 2 hour race and finally worked my way up through the 30 rider Pro class and into 7th. It was good to reel in and pass two guys on the last two laps.\"
\"My hands got fairly tired and sore on the mega-rough 7 minute course. Lately I\'ve been having a lot of trouble with my throttle hand going numb for the first hour of racing. It has something to do with the carpal tunnel in that wrist and it is starting to become annoying. Overall though, I\'m happy with my ride.\"
Watts will next race at the National Hare Scramble race in Oregon this coming weekend.
