Directions:
From Whangarei: 25kms north to Hukerenui Pub, turn right into Tapuhi Road, cross railway line and travel 11 kms to the junction of Nelsons and Waiotu Roads. Drive over the bridge and continue up Nelsons Road to number 71 on the left. There is a wooden sign BRAEFERN next to the rock wall entrance. Drive in and continue to the barn where you can park, register and pay. There is a toilet with outside access in the laundry at the back of the house – up the rock steps and to the left.

- intermediate riders and above
- novice with escort.
Terrain:
The circuit is a clay track, slippery when wet. It is 10kms – to be extended later – with a wide variety of terrain, mainly forest track and open ridge lines. The track crosses the ridge fairly frequently so is mainly either up a hill or going down. Also about 3 Ks on the ridge.
