Location is approximately 30 minutes from Ferry Terminals and 1 hour from Paraparaumu

Terrain:

The venue is a bushclad valley with a moderate stream featuring large quantities of stones and exposed rocks.

Approximately half the sections are expected to be in the stream and half on adjoining areas.

12 sections on Day 1, 10 sections on Day 2

Accommodation

On Site: As part of the arrangements for use of the venue we have negotiated use of the camp facilities.

Sleeping arrangements are communal style with 4 / 5 bed bunkrooms and shared cooking facilities.

This will be available at $20 per night if paid with your entry or $25 (cash only) on the day.

Sections start some 100 metres from the accommodation block!

Alternatives: There is one motel, Parklands, in Wainuiomata (5 min)
The Top 10 Holiday Park in Gracefield (15min)
Other Motels are available in Petone and Lower Hutt (15–20 min)

Odds and Ends

Fuel: BP Wainui (5 minutes) has 91, 95 and Diesel 98 is available from BP Melling (17 Melling Rd Lower Hutt, about 20 minutes)

Food: Supermarkets and Takeaways in Wainui village (5 min)
Park n Slave / Countdown in Petone (15 min)
Excellent Bakeries at Homedale (3-4 min) and Waiwhetu (10 min)

Eating Out:

There are a large variety of restaurants in Jackson St Petone (15 min) that can cater for any taste and budget. Bookings would probably be advisable
