Results on Silver Bullet

We get quite a few enquiries regarding event results. Ok, some of them are less then complimentary, but at least people take an interest. Anyway, it\'s probably time to spell out our position regarding results once again.

ONEWe want to publish as many results as possible. However, as it is impossible for us to retype every faxed sheet, we will have to come up with either a dozen eager elves or develop a cunning plan.
TWOWe actually receive relatively few results (relative to the number of events held each weekend.) We are trying to counter this in two ways: first, we go out and collect the results ourselves. For instance, this weekend we will visit three events (Cross Country, Enduro, Road Race). However, as a long term scheme it is just not viable. We don\'t have the time or the money, and we will always manage to miss the event that you\'re most interested in.
Second, we chase around after people in an effort to get them to send us a spreadsheet in a format that we can use. This has been spectacularly unsuccessful. Anne Overton (Taupo) is one of the few who has been able to supply something that we can use. Thanks Anne, we really appreciate it.
THREEDespite everyones best intentions we are sometimes late with the results and we sometimes make mistakes. The most recent example was the NI Juniors which, due to a hiccup in the email system, didn\'t reach us until Wednesday night. In a blind fit of panic I threw on the previous rounds results instead and didn\'t notice the double up until it was kindly pointed out to me later the next day. All I can say is sorry - mistakes happen.
FOURWe believe that the only long-term viable plan is an automated system that puts the power in the hands of the people who actually run the events. This is our goal with BulletPoints. We now use this progam every weekend at a wide variety of events. After the event (and after finding a friendly network connection) it only takes ONE minute to load all the results onto the Internet. Alright, so sometimes it takes us a day to find a friendly connection but you can still get the idea.
FIVEWe can\'t get enough constructive criticism. Please send it in! We are, however, getting a little tired of some of the abusive comments that we are getting (especially the anonymous ones.) If we have made a mistake please let us know and we will put it right as quickly as we can. If there is something that you think that we can do better, please write in or ring (try 025 249 5959). If there is something that you think that you can do to help, even better: we can\'t wait to hear from you!

Anyway, in the meantime, we have sorted out the North Island Junior MX Final Results (hopefully)and have finally managed to squeeze in Round 1 and Round 2 of the National Enduro Series.

Two things about the Enduro results:
1. There are no series results organised yet (and no teams results, etc, at least not on the web site)
2. All of the Terrain Test start times are available. Just click on the TT1, TT2, TT3 headings to see a sorted list for each Terrain Test.
3. The results from this weekends Northern Enduro Round should be available either Sunday night or first thing Monday morning.

Cheers. Have a good weekend
