Busy Month of May...

Hi everyone...

May has been a super busy month for me with an activity every weekend.
First up was my first Females Coaching Clinic held at the Maddix Motocross Park, Tauranga. It was a busy day with 14 girls attending and all with big smiles on their faces at the end of it. I will doing more coaching days throughout the year for the girls due to the positive feed back and interest in this.

Next up was another photo shoot, this time it was for BlueWing Honda. A quick flight up to Auckland and putting on a nice face for the camera - it was good times. This I believe will be used for advertising, it is exciting that Honda are making the most of me, realising there is a need for marketing amongst the increase of female riders.

Being asked to speak to high school students was a little nerve racking but it was a privilege to speak at the Te Puke High School assembly. To start it off I rode my CR250 right through the centre isle and up onto the stage! I had their full attention after that, talking to them about life as a motocross/FMX rider but also decided to take the opportunity to have a positive input in these kids lives.
A few quotes from it…
“To be a successful athlete or successful at anything in general really, you have to be very disciplined and focused on the right direction.”
And to finish it off…
“What is it that burns within you; that unlocks your creativity; that energises you? That could be the key to your future? Don't neglect it! Don't fear it! Don't put if off!”

Probably the highlight of the month was riding with some of Australia’s top FMX riders. The show was held indoors at New Plymouth’s TSB stadium which was rather scary in such a small space. Having to manoeuvre through door ways at each end and with not much stopping or run up space at all just added to the flames and pyro’s that were shooting off at random times! It was an exciting atmosphere and the sold out crowd loved every minute of the 2 hour choreographed show. XSTV filmed the whole weekend so keep an eye on their show for the coverage.

Unfortunately due to very bad weather this weekends Red Riders Team Honda get together has been postponed for another three weeks. This will be a very beneficial time covering issues such as diet, fitness, mental attitude and training and some team photos.

Lastly check out the June issue, which is out now, of New Zealand’s #1 teen magazine Girl Friend! There is a snip shoot on the front cover of me on my bike (next to Paris Hilton haha), a full page picture inside, an interview and another article a few pages on with some lifestyle pics.

Huge thanks to all my sponsors, their support is so much appreciated.
