With 5 rounds gone only two riders have won a Grand Prix. Kenny Roberts won the first two and now, with an exciting last minute pass on the injured Max Biaggi, Alex Criville has made it three out of three. He is now a good 40 points clear of second placed Kenny Roberts. Simon Crafer's 12th place leaves him in 16th place overall in the championship standings but there is still plenty of time for him to make up lost ground.
