The team consisting of Sean Clarke (Captain), Chris Birch, Shaun Prescott, Mark Whyte and Chris and Karl Power all finished - ensuring a best ever result since New Zealand began competing in the championship five years ago.

Individually, four kiwis collected gold medals - Birch, Prescott, Whyte and Chris Power whilst Clarke and Karl Power got silver medals.

Team Captain Sean Clarke was excited about the team result. “The conditions were tough and the riders are some of the best in the world. We took time to adjust to the conditions which over the four days ranged from bushfires and dust to rain and mud. In the end, we worked as a team and everyone finished,” said Clarke from Melbourne today.

The team returns tomorrow (Tuesday) and round three of the Suzuki NZ Enduro Championship: will be held at Paihiatua this comimg weekend. Clarke and Birch will be out to retain their respective 2003 domestic titles.
