Anyone keen to ride the Desert?

In a major Coup, Epic Events has secured the right for riders at Suzuki Desert Storm to enter the Rangipo Desert.

The Desert is located on the West side of State Highway One. It is the land all good dirt bike riders gaze at out of the window when travelling the Desert road wishing they could unload the bikes and ride.

Riders can expect to strike sand sections, tussock tracks, waddies (dry creek beds) and Ghost Bush. The Desert is fast so riders will be on the gas as they race across towards the Tukino Ski field road.

The 04 Event involves over 25 km of new trails sourced by the Epic team. And 50 km of the ‘classic’ trails that have been graded by bulldozer.

Another announcement is the confirmation of top Motocross rider/coach Mark Penny to do the free kids coaching. Parents can book their young guns in with Mark for some lessons while they crank the trails. Normal cost of coaching is $100 per day so this is a great deal. Coaching for pre entries only!

Plus new for 04 is the live band to keep it all cranking Saturday night. Grab a few beers and head to the marquee.

Entries are flowing in fast and will be accepted up until Tuesday 13 April. Call Tania 027 2859322 to be part of the action. Pre enter to win an HJC CLX4 helmet, set of V rubber tyres and Spectro Oil pack.

Suzuki Desert Storm features;
 2 x 60 km trails
 challenge trail – Sunday only
 2 grass blast tracks
 Novice trails
 Free kids coaching
 Free camping
 Hot showers
 Videos
 Live band Saturday night
 Suzuki test bikes
 Scooter racing

Come ride the Desert. This is strictly a once per year opportunity. Grab it while you can.
