MX Dates 'n' Classes:

MNZ have stated that a rule change is being processed to take effect from the 1st July 2004 to change the current three National MotoCross classes to two classes:

Pro Lites - for machines up to 125cc 2 Stroke & up to 250cc 4 Stroke.
Pro Open - for machines over 125cc & up to 250cc 2 Stroke & 251cc to open 4 Stroke

The four round series will include two support classes:

Class 1 - for machines up to 200cc 2 Stroke & up to 300cc 4 Stroke.
Class 2 - for machines 201cc to open 2 Stroke & 301cc to Open 4 Stroke.

Also being included in Rounds 1 & 2 is the New Zealand Senior Women\'s Motocross Championship.

Round 1 - 8th August 2004 South Canterbury Motorcycle Club Timaru
Round 2 - 29th August 2004 Rotorua Motorcycle Club Rotorua
Round 3 - 26th September 2004 Kapi Mana Motorcycle Club Wellington
Round 4 - 31st October 2004 Pukekohe Motorcycle Club Pukekohe

MNZ have also stated that the North Island Junior Motocross Championship will be held over the weekend of 3rd & 4th April 2004 at Barrett Motorcycle Park in New Plymouth.
The Championship will be hosted by the Taranaki Motorcycle Club.
All Championship classes will be catered for.
