Following up on - The BWH MX GP #2: here is an outline of the schedule of events for the major day of the Blue Wing Honda MX GP - Sunday 25th January.

The main programme gets under way at:

Morning - With the first of three races for the New Zealand Grand Prix 125cc Title in which No 1 New Zealand rider, Cody Cooper participates along with a long list of who\'s who in New Zealand motocross (ie Shayne and Darryl King et al)

Mid-day (Aprox) - Grand Prix International where all the top 125cc, 250cc and 500cc riders come together with our International guests, Glen Aguilar (Philippines) 2003 Asian Motocross Champion, Teddy Otsuka (Japan) #2 Asian Motocross Champion, Barry Morrison (Scotland) and Tamara Fern (Australia).

Afternoon - Tararua - Explore the Elements River Race - a real crowd pleaser as the bikes splash through the water.

Afternoon - International Pacific College Japanese Drum Team - nationally renowned for outstanding performances

This will be immediately followed by the final Grand Prix Races.

Celebrity Fat 50cc racing
Final River Race
Grand Prix 500cc

Admission:
Friday afternoon - Free
Saturday - Adults $10, Children $2, Family $25.
Sunday - Adults $15, Children $5, Family $35.

Other entertainment features of the day will be a skydiving display from Cloud 9 and a stunt show by the Marsh Brothers, Hamilton.

Background:
This event is the 43rd Woodville Motocross event and drawing in excess of 700 riders and spectator crowds in the region of 6 to 7000 over the weekend.
Riders are aged from 4-11 years, Mini Motocross (Saturday), 8-16 years, Junior Motocross (Saturday) with the Junior Champion of Champions being raced on Sunday and Senior Grand Prix Championship and Veterans covering 16-70+ years on Sunday.

The 2004 event will be the launch into a full International Asian - Pacific event in 2005. Along with the visiting Asian riders we have also flown in the President of the Asian Motocross Commission (Stephan Carapiet) who will help facilitate the Asian-Pacific event in 2005.
The 2005 event will be televised and shown throughout Asia and Europe to an estimated 400 million homes.
