Matthew Lawrence of Kati Kati was looking to improve on his first round 8th place in the Veterans class but it wasn\'t to be. On the first lap of the Naike course a rock removed half-a-dozen spokes from the front wheel of his RMX250, catapulting him and the bike end over end down the track. Unfortunately he recieved a mighty stab in the chest from his handlebars but he seemed to have recovered his composure by the end of the day and is eagerly looking forward to the next round.
