Wanted – Woman seeking fun, challenge, companionship and adventure:
Well kinda… Kiwi Rider Coaching is running it’s annual Woman’s Training Camp 21-22 June at Waiotapu, located between Taupo and Rotorua.
The course is all about up skilling, challenges, fun and socialising. The course is based at the Waiotapu School camp settled in the Kaingaroa Forest.
Saturday most of the riding takes place on a rolling grass track where the girls are put through their paces regarding cornering, off cambers and berms.
After a great meal, maybe a few wines for those of age, a swim in the local kerosene creek and a good kip, the riders are up bright an early (if they can wake the Trainers) to attack the forest trails on Sunday.
Sunday focuses on trail ride skills including conquering up hills, blazing trails or negotiating tricky down hills. There is heaps of time for free riding and comparing experiences (Women like to talk a wee bit to discuss tactics and results).
The men who think they are in charge of the course are the 2 blokes behind Kiwi Rider Coaching – Cam Negus and Nick Reader. With 10 years coaching experience each, plus one fiancée and one wife the boys reckon they know how to deal with the lady riders.
Bike and gear hire is available. The new Suzuki DRZ 125 is a great bike for the smaller woman.
With 14 riders booked in from as far as Wellington, it should be a good bunch that gather in Waiotapu late June.
All enquiries to Cam Negus Phone 07 3332169.
