Aaron Slight could manage only a disappointing 10th place on the grid for todays
final superbike round in Japan. His SuperPole time of 1\'31.310 was over a second slower than
the 1\'30.160 of pace setter Troy Corser. Aaron\'s time was also a second
slower than his own final qualifying session time of 1\'30.453, which would have seen him 3rd on the grid.
Carl Fogarty is fourth on the grid with a SuperPole time of 1\'30.599.
Meanwhile, Simon Crafer is on the front row of todays penultimate Australian 500 GP with a
4th fastest time of 1\'33.860. This is within a few 10ths of Max Biaggi (1\'30.712)
and John Kocinski (1\'30.789) but over half a second slower than
Michael Doohan on pole with a time of 1\'30.162. This race kicks off at 3 p.m. (Australian time).
