Local boy Alex Creville has taken pole position for tonight\'s
500cc Grand Prix in Catalunya, Spain. Sharing the front row
with him are Max Biaggi, Alex Barros and Mick Doohan. New Zealander,
Simon Crafer, is on the fourth row in 16th position.
The front row of the 250cc race is dominated by Aprilia, with
Loris Capirossi, Valintino Ross and Marcellino Lucchi holding the
first 3 positions on machines from the Italian manufacturer. The fourth
spot on the front row is taken by Tohru Ukawa on a Honda.
It\'s turn-about in the 125cc class with Honda riders,
Roberto Locatelli, Tomomi Makano and Masao Azuma holding the first 3 positions
and Kazutu Sakata in fourth spot on an Aprilia.
