Directions:

25 minutes west of Taupo (about 10 minutes past Kinloch), close to the lake edge. Follow orange arrows. Location maps and details will be sent out prior to the event.

Terrain:

The Course: The senior track length will be a 30km flowing track within gum, pine & native forest, close to the lake edge, with sweeping turns, hill climbs and drop offs, connected with a series of existing old farm tracks

The Start: It will be a dead engine start standing by your bike. There will probably be 2-3 rows of bikes.

The 2016 Epic Season will finish in style with NZ’s premier endurance race of the year on Saturday 29th October all on a brand new purpose built 30km track in a brand new location close to Taupos lake edge. The new venue is 25 minutes west of Taupo, and comprises a 30km flowing track within gum, pine & native forest, close to the lake edge, with sweeping turns, hill climbs and drop offs, connected with a series of existing old farm tracks - it's going to be an awesome ride! There's heaps of great parking, pit area and a fantastic race start, all on a disused farm airstrip, and with fantastic viewing points to watch parts of the race.

ACERBIS 4 HOUR

Bikes: One bike per individual. Teams may either share a bike or ride their own, the class entered must be that of the greater cc rating of the 2 bikes.

Teams: Riders must change after each lap. (i.e. each time they ride into the pits). Laps approx. 30km

Entry fee: $95 Individual or $180 for a team.

Race pack: All riders will receive a race pack at registration with race numbers, product samples and info.

How to Enter: 2 options: Paper entry form with cheque or online entry with credit card.

Acerbis 4 Hour Age Limit: The minimum age to enter the Acerbis 4 Hour is 16 years. There is no maximum age. Riders aged under 18 years need Guardian consent to enter and will need to bring proof of age to registration. Guardian must co-sign the entry form and be present at sign on and briefing.

Acerbis 4 Hour Prizes: Over $2000 worth of prizes to the top 10 overall PLUS another $2000 worth of spot prizes including Acerbis Gear, CamelBaks, DRD subscriptions and much more. All participants are eligible for spot prizes but must be present to collect them. Trophies will be awarded to top 3 class winners and overall.

MNZ license: An MNZ license is NOT required. A form of ID such as a birth certificate or passport will be required for those Under 18.

Pit Speed: Pit speed will be regulated and stand down times given for speeding.

Motorcycle and riding gear requirement: There is no scrutineering, however all riders must have a well prepared motorcycle and appropriate protective gear. Compulsory riding gear to include: full face helmet, body armour, goggles, gloves, long sleeve shirt, knee pads or braces & motorcycle boots.

Food: There will be a food caravan selling burgers, hot chips, hot dogs etc. plus espresso coffee and cold drinks.

Prize giving: To be held at the race venue, following the finish of the race. Great spot prizes! Professional photographs of the race will be available.

Fire Extinguishers: Every bike must have a fire extinguisher attached of 0.3 litre or larger.

MOTOMUCK Junior 90

Entry fee: $60

Race pack: All riders will receive a race pack at registration with race numbers, product samples and info.

Age Limit: 11 – 16 years old boys and girls and Novice Women aged 17 or older. Riders aged Under 18 need Adult/Guardian consent to enter and will need to bring proof of age to registration. Guardian must co sign the entry form and be present at sign on and briefing.

Prizes: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 overall and to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in each class. All finishers receive a medal. Prize-giving at race venue immediately after start of the main 4 Hour race.

The course: The track length will be approximately 15km,with pumice soil.
